It’s Show Time

For the tile world and all tile aficionados, January feels like Christmas once again. With a good number of trade shows packed in a small 30-day window, we must do much walking to go around hundreds of booths and dozens of aisles to catch a glimpse of what 2017 will bring.

KBIS and IBS

The first shows of 2017 for us will be Kitchen and Bathroom Industry Show (KBIS) in Vegas, and the International Builders’ Show, happening this year in Orlando, FL. These shows attract an enthusiastic crowd of tile lovers, designers, architects, builders and the people from all over the industry.

With more than 600 exhibitors, including 100 exhibiting for the first time, these shows set the tone for everything construction related with a big look at kitchen and bathroom design trends for the years to come.

The International Surfaces Event

What was once known as Surfaces, became The International Surfaces Event or TISE. It is one of the biggest tile shows in the country and will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from January 18th to 20th. The show, which is a conjunction of Surfaces, Stone Expo and Tile Expo, is where you want to be to see the latest and greatest in hard flooring, carpets, equipment and the world around the tile industry. With over 700 companies and, 1,000 products being displayed, the TISE 2017 is a show that you do not want to miss.

Across the Atlantic, not in January, but right at the beginning of the year, we have Cevisama 2017 in Valencia, Spain. In its 35th edition, the show is one of the biggest exhibitions in the world focused on ceramics for architecture, flooring, tiles, and bricks. So if you are and architect, interior designer, tile importer, dealer or just like tiles a lot, and have a little dough to spend, grab your passport and buy yourself a ticket to Spain between Feb. 20th and 24th.
